The Norm Maxwell Studio Gallery is proud to present "SOUL".

SOUL is the latest series of works by Los Angeles based artist Norm "Nomzee" Maxwell.

The exhibition features paintings and illustrations that have been in the works since 2002.

The project chronicles true tales from Maxwell's life experiences as seen through the eyes of his alter ego, Nomzee.

Nomzee is a one eyed character who lives somewhere between reality and the fantasy world he creates in his sketchbook.

SOUL the CG animated series is currently in preproduction.

Ciamac is a Cinematographer who has has lived and worked in Iran , Switzerland , England , Brazil and the United States.

Ciamac is currently working as a director on a documentary called “ time is now”

in Los angeles.

"THE OSIRIS PROJECT" A LIVING WORK OF ART

THE OSIRIS PROJECT is an animated film produced and directed by Norm Maxwell.

The 16 minute film is a full motion painting shot on green screen depicting a modern version of the story of

Isis and Osiris. The concept was inspired by a series of dreams that were influenced by a book called

"The Forgotten Books of Eden". The book contains various versions of the book of Genesis as well as

other lost scriptures. My preoccupation with the origins of Man has lead me to study metaphysics as

well as Egyptology over the years. I couldn't help noticing the uncanny similarities between the Myths

of Isis and Osiris and the tales of Adam and Eve. The film is accompanied by a series of paintings that

deal with the Genesis Myth. The paintings are featured in the film.
