Dreadfro Journeys is an audiovisual collaboration by artist Norm (Nomzee) Maxwell and emerging guitarist Malik (Dreadfro) Deering of the Afronauts.

Dreadfro aka Malik Deering, is a Funk Guitarist from Los Angeles. Dreafro credits his uncles, Lonnie Marshall of Weapon of Choice, and Arik Marshall of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Macy Gray fame, as his greatest influences. Malik began studying under Marc Rey Rhythm guitarist of Mandrill for five years. He's played with Angelo Moore of Fishbone, Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and has recorded with Stone Gossard of Pearl jam. Dreadfro is currently playing lead guitar for the Original Afronauts and promoting his first solo project," Dreadfro Journeys". Dreadfro Journeys is a soulfully hypnotic trip through the back-streets of Los Angeles that is sure to lift you to the outer realms of Intergalactic funk infused psychedelia.

Norm (Nomzee) Maxwell is a Philadelphia native. He now resides and works in Los Angeles. Maxwell is noted as one of the greatest painters of his generation and the originator of merging classical aesthetics with graffiti. Maxwell has contributed his talents to numerous award winning commercial and music video projects for more than a decade. Today Maxwell'spaintings can be found in many private collections around the globe.
